George Jackson

       GEORGE JACKSON (John2, Thomas1) was born on February 06, 1844 in Soham, Cambridge Shire, England. He died on December 28, 1919 (his home in Sunfield, Sunfield Township, Eaton County, Michigan). He married (1) MARY C. FRENCH, daughter of James French and Elizabeth A. Cronk, in 1867. She was born on December 02, 1847 in Ohio, USA. She died on June 22, 1875 in Sunfield, Eaton County, Michigan, USA. He married (2) FLORENCE  DETTE  FERRIS,  daughter of Alfred Ferris and Lenora Mercy Claflin, on March 18, 1878. She was  born on September 08, 1855 in Royalton, Cuyahoga, Ohio. She died on July 05, 1919 in at her home, Sunfield, Eaton County, Michigan.

George Jackson and Mary C. French had the following children:      
         i.  MARY ELIZABETH  'LIBBIE'  JACKSON  was  born on July 07, 1870 in Sunfield, Eaton
County,  Michigan, USA. She died in 1949. She married George Washington Tickner, son of  George William Tickner and Charlotte Elizabeth Anderson, on March 29, 1890. He  was born on January 06, 1868 in Ashtabula County, Ohio. He died in 1901.  
            
         ii.  EMMA  MAY  JACKSON  was  born on June 14, 1875 in Ohio, USA. She died on  September  05, 1920 in Grand Ledge, Eaton County, Michigan. She married Samuel M. Ruff,  son of Jesse A. Ruff and Sarah Ann 'Mary Ferguson, on June 14, 1896 in  Sunfield, Eaton County, Michigan, USA. He was born on February 17, 1868 in  Jackson Township, Wood County, Ohio. He died in February 1947.

George  Jackson and Florence Dette Ferris had the following children:
        iii.      HENRY  A.  JACKSON  was born on March 22, 1878 in Michigan, USA. He died on August 05, 1939 in in  his home, Sunfield Township, Eaton County, Michigan. He married Maude Filloon,  daughter of Levi H. Filloon and Angelia McDowel, on February 03, 1900. She was  born on February 13, 1876 in Newaygo, Newaygo, Michigan. She died on May 31,  1946 in Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan, USA. Notes for Maude Filloon: 
            
         iv.      NETTIE  L.  JACKSON  was  born in 1882 in Michigan, USA. She died on February 21,
1935.  She married (1) CHARLES  A.  GRIFFIN.  He was born in 1877 in Michigan, USA. He died in 1950. 
           
         v.       FRED  EUGENE  JACKSON  was  born on September 08, 1887 in Sunfield Township,  Eaton  County, Michigan, USA. He died on August 13, 1959 in Sunfield, Eaton County,  Michigan, USA. He married Gladys C. Gragg, daughter of George W. Gragg and  Margaret 'Maggie' N. Taylor, on October 12, 1912 in Lansing, Ingham County,  Michigan, USA. She was born on March 31, 1888 in Sunfield Township, Eaton  County, Michigan, USA. She died on November 11, 1967 in Lansing, Ingham County,  Michigan, USA. 21.           
 
        vi.       ELSIE  BELL  JACKSON  was  born in 1891 in Michigan, USA. She died in 1968. She married  Charles Wilbur Barker Jr., son of Charles Wilbur Barker and Rachel Amelia Moon,  on November 22, 1911 in Charlotte, Eaton County, Michigan, USA. He was born on  July 20, 1892 in Roxand, Eaton County, Michigan. He died in 1981.

Mrs. George  Jackson
    Mrs. George Jackson passed away at her home in this village Saturday, after an  illness of a few weeks. She had been a resident of Eaton County since 1875 and  enjoyed the acquaintance of a large circle of friends. Florence Dette Ferris  was born September 8, 1855 at Royalton, Cuyhoga County, Ohio, and died at her  home in Sunfield, July 5, 1919, being 63 years, 9 months and 27 days of age.  She came to Eaton County, Michigan with her parents in the year 1875. She was  married to George Jackson, March 18, 1878 and to this union were born four  children--two sons and two daughters: Henry A., Nettie L. Griffin, Fred E., and  Elsie B. Barker. She leaves to mourn their loss her invalid husband, four  children, two stepchildren; four grandchildren and a host of friends. Funeral  services were held at the home conducted by Rev. Chas. A. Clay. Mrs. H. H.  Mapes, Asher Sacket and Mrs. Erma Davis furnished the music. Interment in the  Welch cemetery.
