McWhorter Highway

Picture
Tom McWhorter, grew up on the family farm located in Sunfield Township in what was then called the Dow Community.  He and his sister Marsha McWhorter lived on McWhorter Hwy and went to the Dow Community School, after which the family moved first to Vermontville and then back to the farm in the 1960's.  He graduated from Lakewood High School in 1968 (a mere 50 years ago). His stories are primarily about growing up on the farm (in the 50's and 60's) as well as his experiences in Vermontville and Lake Odessa.  Although there are some stories about his general travels and adventures.  His stories are "mostly" true.  He currently lives with his wife Wendy, in Venice, Florida.

You may contact him either on Facebook or mcwhorterhwy@hotmail.com
